Anatomy of Time

Museum & Gallery Josip Bepo Benkovic, Herceg Novi, Montenegro 2026

Marcel Proust, in his work "In Search of Lost Time", tried to open the way to memory with long, winding sentences. In the network of my thoughts, sketches and tinished drawings, I examine time that has passed, but also time that has been captured, time that has been broken, time that has been stopped and written off, and time that I do not know when it will appear. For time, like a shadow, comes and goes, while the day turns in concentric circles.

When I say network, I mean the spider's web woven by my thought.

It remains written down through strokes that try to touch the space outside of time and find answers to unasked questions. The answers come in the torm of tinished drawings, which occupy a place of honor in the labyrinth of my creation.

Drawing is the art of time. In the process of drawing, the hand follows consciousness and turns an idea into a vision, while time becomes visible and is measured by the amount of black powder that, like a memory, covers the whiteness of the paper. I want the gallery space to become a paper on which I can draw a journey through time, a word, a sketch and a tinished drawing and thus crown the process, which will be shown through drawing installations on the walls of the gallery.

With this exhibition, I would try to present to the audience my intimate creative journey colored by a short sentence, stained with coal, accompanied by a thin line of thought and a large point of memory. I am returning to my hometown in an attempt to complete my wanderings not only through thought and time, but also through the spaces where I lived and created.
